Hello 🏔 world!

👋 Howdy the internets. This is my first post. I created this site to share my journey through alpinism. Who knows where the end goal lies? Maybe some epic SkiMo lines in Alaska, 8000M peaks in a down summit suit, or just sending 5.X’s here in the PNW’s amazing Cascades and Olympics.

I my day to day craft is as an Engineering manager for Expedia (you may have heard of us) but the Mountains are where I try to spend as much time as possible. I’m lucky enough to mostly joined by my #1 partner in crime my wife Kasia. We moved here in December of 2019 right before the pandemic hit. We’re originally from just outside of Toronto.

This is us, just below the false summit of Mt. Saint Helens.

I’ve been progressing through my mountain career and have learned a little bit, and have a little bit of a gear problem. Arc’teryx follows me on twitter because I’ve spent wayyy too much money (and counting) with the dead bird hq. I’m lucky enough to work in tech so a few extra $ on gear isn’t such a big issue for me.

Couple images from my first scramble this weekend:

Looking to progress in our mountain career this year.

Couple mountain adventures we’ve been on:

Some certifications/courses I’ve done:

AIARE 1, Wilderness First Aid, Wilderness Navigation.

We’re currently enrolled in the Mountaineers Scrambling course and are doing a Glacier skills course with Miyar in June on Mt. Baker.
